Distribution of Body Fluids

Body fluid is made up of water and certain dissolved substances called electrolytes.

ECF two main compartments:

  1. Intravascular fluids (Plasma 20%) found within the vascular system.

  2. Interstitial (75%) found surrounding the cells.
